Dewey Grows a Water Feature.

My house has a water feature.

It happens every time it rains.   We have quite the trickle in the kitchen.  Actually, it is more than a trickle.  It is a cascade of water.  It is our very own water feature.

Several months ago we contacted Brothers Roofing.  They were to come out and replace the roof over the kitchen.  Replacing a roof is not cheap, but what could we do?  We had a patch of plaster missing from the kitchen ceiling.  We had a deluge of water coming in the house every time it rained.

So they came and they replaced the roof.   And wouldn’t you know, the next time it rained, we still had water coming into the kitchen.   So we called Brothers roofing.  We told them that something was wrong with the new roof.  The leak that was supposed to be fixed was still leaking.  

They would send somebody free of charge, they said.   And they came back out to check the seals.  They fidgeted around on the roof, and then charged us five hundred dollars for the pleasure.    But at least the water feature should be turned off.

Last night it rained.

I was in the living room watching TV on the laptop and Chris was upstairs playing a video game.   I heard a familiar dripping coming from the kitchen.

Yes, we still have a leak.  And we have no idea where it is coming from.   We must call Brothers Roofing again.  This fiasco is starting to get annoying.   I just want a dry kitchen when it rains.  Is that too much to ask?
