Cruise

carnival_triumph.jpg

Well, it is Monday.

On Friday, Chris and I are headed to Miami for a week upon the Carnival Triumph.  I can’t wait.

We are going to stay in the La Quinta Miami and apparently they have a shuttle right to the cruise ship.

We will be traveling to Half Moon Cay, San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk.   We mostly have beach days planned plus a walking tour in San Juan.   Chris is going to do something manly in Grand Turk and I think I am staying on the ship and going to the spa.   It should be a really nice vacation.

But the old blog will be quiet for a week. Not that it is not quiet now.  I haven’t been posting as often as I should.   But life, ect. takes over.

 GOOD NEWS

My sister’s cancer is almost gone.  She has three more chemo appointments and they think that it should be gone by then.  I am so excited!    I will be going up to see her in January after the holidays.   It should be a really nice time.  Looks like the next couple of months should be good!

Hope you all have a marvelous Thanksgiving.  Chris’s uncle invited us over. I just want to stay home and pack.  I really don’t like holidays.  But Chris says that he won’t go without me, much as I would like him to.   I really want to pack that day. We leave on Friday.  Eeeeps.

Prezzies

I am making out like a bandit on my birthday today.  Today I got:

A trader Joe’s gift card

A bar of hand made soap

A bag of dark chocolate truffles that hubby better keep his paws out of.

And, Chris has a 40% off coupon for a cd at borders and he is letting me pick out the cd!  Yay!

But that does mean that I have to leave the house tonight. And I am pretty snug.

And I rented Ratatouille.   But I can watch it when I get back.

Chris is now playing Second Life. I think I have lost him for good.   He is always playing (like I was when  I first started.) It is hard to drag him away from it.   Now I don’t play all that much anymore.   Who knows?

Anywho.  Get back to what you were doing!

Weekend, Kylie!

Here is the new video from Kylie – 2 Hearts.   I can’t wait for the new album.   November 25th out in England.  When I get back from vacation I am so getting it.

This weeked is going well.   I am 2 thirds of the way through birthday weekend mayhem.    We went to the Irish festival on Friday night and it was awesome.  I drank a lot of really dark beer.    We saw three bands, including Barleyjuice! And they all wore kilts!  They really are a good band.  I have to pick up some of their cd’s.   And they have a really fun stage presence.    I tried to find a Barleyjuice video to share but I guess they haven’t made it to Youtube quite yet.

Last night we went to Toby’s dinner theatre to see Titanic, the Musical.   I was not sure what to expect, being a dinner theatre, but the play was awesome! They had some remarkable voices.   And they managed to do the musical with a very limited (almost no) set.    I love the music from Titanic.  If you ever get to see the show, do.    It was a really nice birthday treat!    The buffet dinner was terrible, though. The food was luke warm.   They did have salmon which I could eat but the veggie dishes were not that good.  The baked ziti had almost no taste.   The fruit salad was good but how can you mess up fruit salad?

Chris bought me flowers (well, one majorly large flower, I think it is a bird of paradise)  and I even got some cards both at home and from friends at work.  I even got a gift card to Starbucks that I think I am gonna use today.    Chris is at his church ringing handbells so I am free to do what I want.   I think Starbucks it is.

Tonight we are going to see the Pipettes at club Sonar and I might be the oldest person there.   I sure hope not.   It might be wild.    But fun.

Vacation in less than 2 weeks and yes, it does involve a cruise. More on that later!
