Wrapping wrapping wrapping.

I think I am done with wrapping.

Preparing my gifts for my mom and my sister.  This is normally the week that I take off to visit them, but too many people requested off so I was not able to get it.   Usually I am there for New Year’s.  Will have to ask sooner next time.

But it gives me time to get some last minute things done (i.e. get even more presents).  I think I am overcompensating because my sister was sick.  I certainly have a lot of things to give them already.   We tend to give gifts in my family to make things better.   And things will certainly be better now!   Oh, no, I really didn’t overspend.  Just a lot of little things really that I have been collecting since October.   So it’s all good.

I took today off to have a three day weekend.  Not a bad deal, really.   So, I have been playing computer games and wrapping presents and I think I am off to read a little now.  I can FINALLY read adult novels because I read all my children’s books for the committee I am on.    I am not signing up for it next year. It is a fun committee but three years is enough to do in a row.  I need a break!    Plus, I really miss just reading adult novels.    You guys know how I feel about a good mystery.  I have a pile to tackle!

Incidentally I am feeling quite relaxed.    I like feeling this way.  Chris said that I seem really happy this winter.   I guess I am.  Maybe it is the fact that my sister got better.   I was pretty worried.   And I really can’t wait to see her.  Maybe I will give her a call now.   Hmmm…

Hope you all have happy plans for a new year.  I am going to  a party!

Huggles.
